2015 CSA signups are available!!! Check out the details below and sign up online! If you do need a hard copy to mail back to us, please email and we will email you a copy to mail back with a check. If you are not ready for a full season of commitment, check out the mini CSA: Its the perfect way to try a CSA without the long term commitment and see if its for you!
Joining in Community Sponsored Agriculture (CSA) or purchasing shares in a food you desire directly from the farm is a wonderful opportunity for both you, as the consumer, and us, as the producer. It creates a partnership by which you can understand the hows, wheres, and whys of your food supply. You are able to participate more actively, directly support the farmer, try a variety of the freshest possible produce, and learn as much as you like about your food. For us as the farmer – it helps us fund the seeds and quantities that you desire. It also gives us the awesome opportunity to get to know you personally and show you agriculture firsthand!
We grow a variety of produce including, in season, asparagus, tomatoes, zucchini, yellow squash, butternut squash, acorn squash, spaghetti squash, melons, salad greens, spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, peppers, onions, peas, beans, potatoes, herbs, cucumbers, and more.
We have a limited number of spots in our 2015 CSAs. We will note here when they become unavailable, but we would be happy to put your name on a list of interested parties and let you know first when our production increases enough to provide more shares. We are conveniently located along the I-65 corridor and able to serve Lafayette, Indianapolis, Frankfort, Lebanon, Zionsville, and smaller communities near those areas. If there are at least three deliveries in one location within 20 miles of our farm that all would like a CSA, we are willing to work out a delivery option to that area (just ask).
All produce is field washed, but please plan on rinsing it yourself before use as there may still be dirt or bugs present.
All shares are subject to availability due to weather, growing conditions, and insects, but we will always do our best to supply as much variety as we can and substitute where possible when crop loss occurs. Our produce is used for our CSA members first, then market – so as a member you will get the best of what we have. Each weeks share includes a newsletter delivered by email that gives recipes and ideas for that weeks share.
Your weekly share can be picked up directly off the farm on Wednesday evenings between 6 and 8 PM or from our market booth (Farm to Fork Market October – April, Zionsville Market May – September). If you have a question about an additional delivery location, please ask as in some cases we can accommodate.
Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions or need more information.
Our full share CSA runs for 16 weeks – Week of June 6, 2015 through the week of September 19, 2015. It is designed to provide enough produce for four people we eat veggies regularly for a week or two people who eat a vegetarian diet. Each share comes with an emailed newsletter. Full Share CSA members also receive a 15% discount on any additional produce or eggs purchased.
Our half share CSA runs for 16 weeks – Week of June 6, 2015 through the week of September 19, 2015. It is designed to provide enough produce for two people who eat veggies as a regular, but not exclusive, part of their diet. Each share comes with an emailed newsletter. Half Share CSA members also receive a 5% discount on any additional produce or eggs purchased.
This CSA is a great way to kick off the growing season with the best early garden treats! Tender lettuce, Chard, Kale, mustard, and other greens are the primary staples of the early spring CSA. Shares are designed to provide early greens to 1-2 people for four weeks (week of May 2nd - week of May 23rd). Each share comes with an emailed newsletter. Carrots, Beets, Radish, Cabbage, peas, asparagus, and other early spring treats may also be periodically included in these shares in small quantities as they are available.
This option is for those who want to try out a CSA without the long term commitment of the whole season. We will only have a very limited quantity of these shares available and you must sign up at least a month before the start date of the month you wish to participate. The quantity of produce per week will be the same as the half share and will include a newsletter, but this option will only run for one month (four weeks) and provides a chance to try a CSA out on a smaller scale and see if it is for you.
